We had the absolute pleasure of working with George in anticipation of the first dance for our wedding. We picked the 10 session package which was the best decision we made, and would highly recommend other couples to pick the package with more sessions. More sessions both gave us time to have enough practice in order to be comfortable with our dance, and it allowed George the ability to make it more intricate. George was able to get us comfortable with the final dance by only first teaching us distinct sections rather than all at once. After practicing together the different sections one by one week by week, he finally expertly combined each component into one complete, synchronized dance. This made learning the entirety of the dance seem a lot less daunting than it otherwise would have been. It also gave us the ability to become comfortable with ballroom dancing and learning each other’s movement and communication styles so that putting the pieces together was seamless. George is an excellent instructor. We had different levels of experience: myself none and my partner a lot of dance experience but not in ballroom. He was able to teach us how to dance together despite our different levels, with each session focusing on either refining existing sections of the dance, adding a new section, or tying the two together.
He is also very funny and has a big heart. His sense of humour would help bring some light heartedness in moments of frustration as we struggled in the early days to learn the new moves. He cares deeply about his students and it shows in every session and the end product.
Our first dance got lots of compliments from our wedding guests who praised its elegance, complexity, and the show stopping moves. All of these compliments are a reflection of George’s teaching and the hard work we put in during continuous practice.

If you know you want a choreographed dance, go see George. If you’re not sure, still go see George. But go early!!!!! Working with George on our first dance was such an awsome experience. You get a serious challenge, with a lot of fun and a side of premarital counselling 😉. Regardless of what happens at the wedding, this will always be a memorable moment.

I cannot recommend taking classes with Yourweddingdance and George enough. We were looking for some classes to help us feel comfortable, confident, and excited for our first dance. Our classes with George have exceeded expectations. George helped us create choreography that worked with our skill set, and time until the wedding to practice. With each class George either taught us a new set to incorporate into our dance, or showed us how to refine our moves to be as beautiful as possible. As we finish our last class and approach our wedding day, I truly believe our first dance is going to be the WOW moment of our wedding, and it is entirely due to our work with George.

If this sounds like I’m gushing – it’s because I am. George is an incredible teacher. We came to him exactly one month before our wedding (crazy, I know), but he took on the challenge and those lessons became my favourite part of the week, and frankly, my favourite part of the entire wedding prep. He was funny, and put us (particularly my now husband) at ease in the learning process. My husband had never danced ballroom before, but you’d never know that looking at us. Our guests were amazed. Would 100% recommend, and we’re already looking forward to going back for more lessons.

We had the absolute best experience with George as our dance instructor! We only had five sessions with him, but in that short time, he choreographed a beautiful first dance for us, even with a Persian song that wasn’t the easiest to work with. He made sure every move matched the rhythm and emotion of the music, and the flow turned out absolutely beautiful!
Thanks to his unique teaching methods and the way he helped us learn the steps and not just memorizing we felt so confident on our wedding day—we didn’t make a single mistake! Absolutely fantastic lessons! George is a great guy, really funny, really supportive. He took us step by step through different routine options, gave us lots of feedback, and knows a lot about what goes on beyond just the dance, as in with what songs work, or different dresses will affect your movement.

We loved taking our wedding dance lessons with George! We had no prior dance experience and he was so helpful in teaching us everything! We took 6 of the 45min private lessons and we were more than ready to take on the dance floor!

George is the most fun and caring dance teacher. He helped us choreograph our first dance. His interpretation of the song fit so well with our personalities and dance comfort levels. He challenged us and encouraged us, and listened to our apprehensions and made us feel confident in our abilities. He really cares for all of his dance students and it was a pleasure to be two of them. We even got to enjoy one of his dance socials which not only helped us practice performing our wedding dance, but also sparked a love for different dance styles.
