Wedding dance reviews from 2022
George created such a beautiful first dance for us and it was one of the favourite parts of our wedding. We both had an amazing experience working with him, and there wasn’t a single lesson where we didn’t laugh! George has a great sense of humour, is very patient, and is SO good at what he does. If you are looking for a dance instructor, look no further!
We are extremely happy that we took dance lessons from George of Yourweddingdance.ca. He was everything we could have asked for.
He explained things really well. My (now) wife and I aren’t trained dancers, and he found ways to teach us the moves we needed.
His choreography was great! Late into our lessons, we requested to increase the complexity of our routine, and he came up with new material on the spot for us.
The routine George developed for us was perfect for our abilities. It was quite challenging (as we requested) but still feasible for us to learn.
Finally, George has an honest passion for dancing. When I asked him questions such as “why do we do things this way?” I could see how excited he was to answer me.
Anyway, if you’re thinking of taking lessons from Yourweddingdance.ca, you can’t go wrong!

George was great. He is very knowledgeable and was able to help us choreograph a custom dance for our wedding to our skill level. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing experience learning our dance with George! We went in thinking we would only perform if we managed to look like we knew what we were doing, and by the end of the first lesson, we were like, okay, this is gonna be good!! We got the 10 lesson package which we’d recommend so you can learn some more complicated moves and also refine the dance.
George is very funny, perceptive, and A++ teacher, and he made every lesson smooth and entertaining. We always looked forward to the next lesson! We were keeping this a secret from our friends and families, but it was tough as we just wanted to tell everyone about how much fun and amazing this experience was.
More than that, his choreography is out of this world. We attended a dance social (also highly recommend doing this!) and saw some other couples’ dances, and all the songs and dances were so different and unique and beautiful! He doesn’t just teach “waltz” or “salsa” etc, he teaches his own wedding dance creation that takes inspiration from a wide variety of styles and turns them into something that doesn’t require rigid steps or beats, unique to the song you choose. It’s clear from comparing wedding dance videos from him and other wedding dance services that his choreography is miles better! And most tellingly, both our moms (who are obviously not biased at all) are absolutely obsessed with our dance and can’t stop talking about it. So yeah. QED.

You can stop searching now, you’ve found the right person to teach you dancing. George is the best! We came to him with basically zero experience (and 4 left feet) but he helped us not only learn a routine but gain confidence and have fun! Even my dancing-shy husband now loves George and is willing to learn more dancing! George really understands people and appreciated the unique dynamics of every different relationship, and he somehow managed to incorporate all that into the dance! By the end of it we were doing lifts and dips and smiling with a wedding first dance that was truly “Us” in personality. And our guests thought we’ve been dancing for decades? Can’t say enough good things about George!

George is the absolute best. Learning our wedding dance was such an amazing and fun process. George is an incredible teacher and a great person. He’s also hilarious. Very highly recommend.
With just a month and a half out until our wedding, we reached out to George to see if he would be able to help us learn a dance for our wedding and we were blown away with what he was able to help us accomplish! In just 5 lessons, George created a beautiful choreographed dance for us while providing us great feedback and tips along the way so that we felt comfortable the day of our wedding. George integrated ‘big impact’ but relatively easy dance moves that left our wedding guests incredibly impressed! As two people with no dance experience, he was incredibly patient and encouraging while making our lessons fun. We are so glad we chose to go with George to create and learn choreography for our first dance – we only wish we had gone sooner!
Let’s start off by saying getting wedding dance lessons for our first dance was my favourite part of the whole wedding process and we would 100% do it all again. George is truly such an amazing person. He truly made us smile for all of our lessons and really challenged us in the best way possible to have fun and look good doing it! Not only was our guests blown away by our performance but we ourselves had a blast on the dance floor. Aside from getting professional dance training , it was also a great way for us as a couple to really connect with each other and feel each other’s emotions. We will cherish this experience for a lifetime! Thank you George!!
Absolutely incomparable quality of service – if you think you can’t dance, just wait until George gets you on your feet. My husband was so nervous to even think about dance lessons but we hated, even more, to think about an awkward swaying back and forth kind of wedding dance. We met George, and we knew we had to try! We were confident in our dance and we had more than just swaying. Thank you, George!
From his amazing personality to hilarious humour and rapid-fire wit, George drew us in from the very first time we met. The wife and I were just looking to see if we even could learn a dance for our wedding which was fast approaching, George helped us connect with each other and not only learn a fantastic dance but also deepen our relationship weeks before our chosen date.
